On Saturday March 17 the Dynamique Femme (www.geocities.com / dynfemme) or rganizers in FUENLABRADA Social Center, a conference on RIGHTS OF WOMEN , given by Mme. Amsatou Sow Sidibe, a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Dakar, Director of the Institute of Human Rights and Peace (UCAD) President of the Association of Women Lawyers of Senegal and the African Network of women workers (Rafet). future
used the community room of the center, under construction and not yet finished, doors, windows and electrical installation, the space fell short of the circumstances. In addition, s
and placed chairs and speakers outside, so that all people who came to the event could participate.

The speaker presented the topic for about an hour, maintaining the public's attention, and then opened the floor for questions and comments that lasted until dusk.

The event was in Wolof, as the only language of many of the attendees (the French learned in school), except the welcome and closing of the president the Dynamique Femme, ending his voice cracking with emotion, and the coordinator of ASF, in French.

this consideration was the municipality of Fuenlabrada, twinned with that of Joal-Fadiouth and financier of the project from the beginning of it, in 2000, and the president of the Femme Dynamique took the opportunity to express their appreciation to Ayuntamiento de Fuenlabrada and Architects Without Borders, on behalf of the Movement Dyn.Femme. was a day very important for the Dynamique Femme, with many touching moments, and served as a pre-inauguration of the community room, hopefully the first of many similar acts, and that the SOCIAL CENTRE FUENLABRADA become the Women's House Joal-Fadiouth, and a benchmark for the entire community.

Chemical Formula For Carnuba Wax

To celebrate the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY in FUENLABRADA SOCIAL CENTER , started watching a documentary on a women's group in Burkina. In the photo you see how many we were, more than 100 (and the TV was small in proportion ..).

Then we split into two discussion groups:

One did a sharing of opinions on the documentary group, compared with the Dynamique Femme, and write ideas and suggestions on the board, for best performance Social Centre. It was concluded that the center, in addition to functioning as a site of WORK - living is top priority for all present-must continue to function as TRAINING center, practice and theory, and literacy. It was also noted the importance of the center as a place of COEXISTENCE EXCHANGE and of experiences between women of Joal-Fadiouth, and abroad. They suggested to make more films about women in other countries, because the experience of this film seemed very rich, and think they see examples of what happens to other women in the world, we can open new horizons.

I asked what they thought was the role of MEN in this process of development and learning of spoken, to understand if they felt as a support or rather as a liability. Then came the issue of overloading of women, they suffer especially, being enterprising and go away while taking the traditional responsibility of all the housework. They said that they are too late to change things in that regard, and no effort to do so, but try to educate their children so that in the future to share the housework with women.

In the other group aimed to create among a PORTRAIT of a woman of Joal-Fadiouth, what it does, what he thinks, how he lives. Each one was taking notes, and wrote on the blackboard one day typical. This was almost entirely occupied in housework and family or in various productive activities. They were surprised to see in writing what they do, and when they spoke of other activities, rest time, studying, reading, what the interest, few could say something that was not related to the care of others or environment.

then wrote WISHES for the future, and the result was similar to that of another group: the first point, work, then training as a necessary complement to the first, and at last, the opening to the outside the exchange of knowledge, contacts between women's groups in Senegal, Africa (raised to contact the group of Burkina to fraternize with them) and around the world. Particularly mentioned the desire for closer ties with the Women's Council of its sister city, FUENLABRADA .

The day ended with several well lit and feminist discourses of the main leaders, which led to a condescending smile-very few-men who had joined the celebration, and enthusiastic applause of all women.

And finally, of course, snack prepared by the Femme Dynamique , based on cupcakes, bissap juice, tamarind, monkey bread (the fruit of baobap) and some fantasy fluorescent orange and tropical flavors.

whereas this year the day coincided with the great annual pilgrimage to Touba, the holy city, and that half Joal was in the religious event, everyone considered our petite celebration a success, so we came home all very satisfied, and at least I, with much learned.
